Khushal Alam Stanisai M.D., FACG

I was born in Afghanistan in 1941, embarked on a journey in the field of medicine. After graduating from Kabul University Medical School, I pursued further education in the United States at Loma Linda University, specializing in gastroenterology.

I became board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and was honored as a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. I also served as an instructor and assistant professor during my academic career.

Beyond my medical achievements, I am also a healthcare software developer and has served as the past president of the Afghan Medical Association of America (AMAA).

My dedication through AMAA extended to humanitarian efforts, as I collaborated with Loma Linda University to provide aid and educational assistance to war-ravaged Afghanistan.

I am married to Zahra Stanisai, and we have two sons and three grandchildren.

Throughout my career, I assumed various leadership roles, including chairman of the Department of Medicine, Chief of Staff, and Director of the surgery center. Currently, I hold the position of president of the Physician Health Network.
